Collecting seashells

Walking along the shoreline
On a warm sunny day

Collecting seashells
On the sand where you lay

A seashell for you
For the ones we love
And one for me
For the loves we've lost

A seashell for him
For the ones we hold dear
And one for her
For those both far and near

Each seashell represents a journey
A long travel with a destination unknown
A history that tells a story
A story so important yet untold

Each seashell is a timeline
Of an important past
Of an important journey
Of an important treasure
Of any important discovery

Blessed be the journey
Of the travelling seashell
Blessed be the thousand miles
We all endure

One foot in front of the other
Our voyage begins
Left, right, left, right
Each step a reminder of the past
And a trip closer to the future

So Goodbye my beloved
This is the end
I'll collect seashells
Until we meet again
