What can I say? I just could not help myself! I had to keep you a little something something for the New Year. Happy New Year All!!!
The day was bright and the morning cool. Orchid awoke to the sound of the birds chirping sweetly and the sun's light illuminating her bedroom.
The school day seemed to begin just like any other ordinary school day. Assembly seemed to be a never ending quest for boredom. The classes long and draining every ounce of energy that still remained in the students' flailing bodies. But little did they know life as they knew it was about to change indefinitely.
It was about 4:30p.m. when the assault occurred; the vicious slicing of the unknown. Orchid was in her mathematics extra class when it occurred. She was minding her own business when it happened, but that was before she heard the words "there has been a fight". Overcome with curiosity Orchid ran to the door to see who the fight was between.
When she exited the class it was pure unadulterated pandemonium, as the stir of the fight blew in the wind. The news spread like wildfire through the atmosphere. As the conversations grew the questions about the fight escalated. "Who was the fight between?" said one. "How did it start?" asked another. "What happened?" enquired others. And different variations of the sort arose to the lips of the inquisitive. Different statements about the event were heard and the reactions to the news were received; but the facts gathered from all areas of the talk were that the fight involved Tara Tomlinson and Nareka Brady and Nareka used a t-square to whack Tara and slashed her across the side of her head. During that evening speculations of the outcome of the assault arose through the minds of everyone. Some said Nareka would get expelled, others said she would get suspended but there was no certainty to the outcome. Orchid went home with the event fresh in her mind and dreamt.
