Held in captivity,

Imprisoned for a treacherous deed,

Banished from a life,

A life you once lived.

 

Separated from true love,

Denied redemption,

Cast away on the aisle of doubt,

Placed in fortitude,

Locked in solitude,

Hoping for a chance,

A chance to change the future,

Fix the past.

 

Wishing for a reunion,

With a lost love,

Your desires escalate into a plan,

A plan for freedom,

A plan to escape these evils,

To return to your life,

A plan formulated by pure anger and hatred,

Of being brutally tortured by the enemy,

A plan formulated by yearning and desire,

To return to the love you once knew.

 

You begin to execute your plan,

Leading out this lie,

Traveling the long distance,

Until you finally arrive,

But when you do,

The place you once loved is destroyed,

And the people you loved gone,

Leaving you,

With only a memory.
