Guest Post and Other Lovelies

Good day ladies and gents,

It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon as I write this little post. I'm happy to announce that I've had another guest post on Eat.Explore.Live that I can proudly share with you Here Find out what happens as I venture to one of Jamaica's most notorious historical sites for a little adventure with an international friend. I would love it if you all checked it out and left a comment on her blog. Show us both some support loves. Please and thank you!

Also, I know I often talk about what's going on in the Jamaican blogging world but the Jamaican vlogging (video logging for you fresh faces) world is also heating up. This week a few Jamaican vloggers decided to do a video collaboration under the theme: Carnival Make Up. I've attached the videos below but please show them some love by liking their video on youtube and subscribing to their channel. Thanks much!!!

Much Love,

A Travel Monger's Dream Vacations

Good day lovelies,

Inspired by April for The Absolute Travel Addict's post this week, you can check that out Here, I've decided to put pen to paper or in this case finger to keyboard and share with you my top 5 places that I've been dying to visit.

I've always been a wayward wanderer. A free-spirit forced to be rooted in one place while I plot my escape and world adventures. A dream job for me is to spend a year or 2 as a travel writer and blogger, keeping millions of readers in tune and up-to-date with all my happenings and goings and comings. An escape from the mundane 9 to 5 or in my case sunrise to sunrise in this medical world and just let the wild dreamer roam.

There are so many places I would love to visit that if I were to list them all I would run out of characters for this post. I therefore have decided to narrow it down to my top 5 and trust me this was REALLLLY HARD!!!! But I managed to do it and here they are:

1. Australia

2. Italy

3. South Africa

4. Brazil

5. Caribbean

I know this may seem a little bit kooky. I mean why does a Jamaican girl write that she wants to visit and vacation in the Caribbean? Well that's just it. Aside from my lovely home in Jamaica, I've yet to venture outside and visit other Caribbean islands. I want to wine up my body at Trinidad Carnival or maybe stay and enjoy Diwali, I want to enjoy Crop Over in Barbados and go Eastern Caribbean Island hopping. I want to truly appreciate and enjoy all of what my Caribbean neighbours have to offer me.

In searching for images that seem to best represent my love of these countries I stumbled on so many images that I feel like to do a little feature on each of these places and tell you why I think they are so amazing. Hopefully these come to fruition. You will just have to wait and see.........

Where would you like to escape to? Leave a comment below and share your dream vacations with me. I would love to know.

Enjoy the weekend!

Much Love,

Nella

Misadventures of Nella: Nella Runs Sigma

Goodnight Loves,

The Misadventues of Nella is my newest feature and photo journal. It chronicles my adventures through and around Jamaica, the Caribbean and world as I seek to conquer each one at a time. A lover of travel and new adventures, I plan to share my experiences, give my views and reviews on my different outings. Hope you enjoy! :D

On February 17th of this year Sagicor Life Jamaica Ltd hosted its annual Sigma 5.5 k Run in aid of Bustamante Hospital for Children, Jamaica National Children's Home and Best Care Lodge Children's Home. Now in its 15th year, the Sagicor Sigma Run is an event that promotes charitable contributions through fun, fitness and competition. At 7:30 am approximately 20,501 runners, walkers and wheelchair participants from respective companies, groups and individuals set off in the race of endurance, speed and fitness. And guess who was one of them? Hmmm....... I wonder.

Lol! Yep I was there. This was my 3rd time participating in the event and every year my challenge is to beat my previous record and I always do. This year, I entered the running section and my overall time for completing the race was 48:21 and considering I walked half of it, I think I did a pretty good job too. Yay me!!!! Now for the pictures.

If you want to know some more about what happened, here's a little more information on the event: Link Link 2

Aww it's me :)

Little sister and I

My dad and sister
My friend Paul and I before the race began. Pre-race all smiles.

Ali

Yanique and I. Post-race fatigue!

Thabo, Gio and Ashley

Plus we had the added pleasure of some entertainment in the form of a flash mob starring these wonderful children and teenagers. I even added 2 videos at the end. Enjoy :D

Much Love my darlings,

Nella
