Ode to a friend
Here is a poem from relationship past. I believe in using real life experiences to fuel my poetic nature so hear is a poem that I wrote for one of my exes a long time ago.
Gazing into the stars,
To a galaxy of the unknown,
Looking and searching,
For the hidden,
The indefinite and the mysterious.
She explores the lost world,
Looking for another lost soul like herself,
That desires a savior.
And alas she has found him,
A brand new person,
Sent down to rescue her.
She has found someone new in her life.
A new friend emerges,
From the shambles,
Another hero sent,
To rescue her from boredom,
Another fulfiller of dreams,
Sent to encourage her,
And another motivator,
Delivered from the heavens,
To inspire her,
To combat all forces,
Who tend to have the desire,
To destroy all her dreams,
Her hopes,
And,
Her beliefs.
One who opens her eyes,
To all the possibilities,
That the world's opened door,
Leads to.
Akeem, Akeem, I'll be your queen and you my king. LOL You wish it were so! (wink, wink)
Subterfuge
Anger of a hurtful betrayal,
Slain by the words of thee,
The slash from the whip of the tongue,
The sound of your voice echoes in my mind,
The evil deeds you played back constantly in my thoughts,
Thoughts and questions cloud my mind,
Asking why? And how?
Wanting to know the answers.
Being deceived into thinking we were friends,
Lied to and hurt,
Crying from the pain of my wounds,
Scarred from the marks of the dagger,
Dagger of a dreadful truth,
The truth of treachery,
The truth of perfidy,
The truth that you were disloyal,
Unfaithful,
I mistrusted you,
I got swindled into your web of lies,
Impaired judgment,
And misguided decisions,
Overbearing, the silent screams of your ruse,
Exploding inside me,
The streams seeking release,
But,
My mind is a cage,
Imprisoning my emotions,
Of a titanium fear,
And the ricocheting of a burning anger.

Anyways moving past my ramblings. Read on.
Orchid had finally entered the room where Andrew was kept before she heard footsteps come up behind her and a voice from behind her say, "Oh! So we meet again." In an instance she turned to see Shana-ray, slowly revealing herself from her dark hiding space with a flashlight.
Too much drama, don't you think?" Orchid replied mockingly.
"I thought I had gotten rid of you," she continued, "but it looks like I am going to have to kill you personally. I always believed in the saying if you want the job done right you have to do it yourself, and that's what I'm about to do. I am going to kill you and have Andrew all to myself! And as for the other girls who are in on this scheme, they don't know it yet but they are going to have a 'terrible' accident real soon. Right after they find your team and destroy them of course."
"You fiend! How could you do this? Well what should I expect from a walking psychopath like you? You are nothing but pure, unaltered evil. And as far as getting rid of me and her team goes there is no chance in hell that you're going to destroy us and get away with this treacherous act. And besides, now that I know you're evil scheme, I am ready for you." Orchid said with utterly disgust towards her.
"Oh you do? Do you?" Shana-ray replied with a devilish laugh, "Honey! You don't even know half of my 'evil plot' as you call it…." "Take a look over there. What do you see?" she continued full of self confidence, after the brief pause.
She pointed to an area with her flashlight illuminating the scene. And there Orchid saw it……. When Orchid turned around, it was steering me straight in the face. She had captured her little sister Orlene and tied her up adjacent to Andrew.
"Just taking a few precautions, dear. You see it never hurts to be prepared for everything. So……. Orchid, who is it going to be? Orlene, your dear and beloved sister or Andrew, 'the man of you dreams'? she asked, mocking me and pleased with herself that her plan was working out well. She laughed boisterously to see the distraught look on Orchid's small face. Shana-ray's once innocent-looking features had transformed her into a dreaded horror.
Orchid stood there, as frozen as a block of ice, for a few moments. She was frozen to the point of no reply. Orchid couldn't answer that question. She couldn't choose. Oh fate was cruel and mocked her bitterly. But then an idea sparked in her mind. Why not use Shana-ray's own insecurities against her.
"Okay. I'll tell you what, let Orlene go and you can have Andrew," Orchid said trying to appear sincere.
"Really? No tricks?" she asked while filled with uncertainty.
"None what so ever," Orchid lied through her teeth.
"I knew you would make the right decision. But…. I don't think so," she replied with a smirk.
(Oh no! She didn't fall for it! My plan had failed) Orchid thought to herself.
But she had to keep her hope afloat, so Orchid enquired, "So what are we going to do?"
"Oh it's simple really. We are going to fight…..TO THE DEATH. Winner takes all," Shana-ray said as she moved around me in circles, getting ready to battle.
Orchid pondered over the decision for a while and decided to agree.
"Yes," she said, "Ready? Then let's go."
And with that they started the battle for our lives and for our loves.
"Unh!!!" Shana-ray replies as she received another blood gushing blow to the stomach.
"Ouch!!!" Orchid said as Shana-ray's fingernails began scraping her down her neck with one hand and Shana-ray's other hand pulling Orchid's hair out of its root, dragging across the room, then tossing Orchid into a corner.
"Get off me, you heifer," Orchid screamed and groaned, as Shana-ray had her pinned down on the ground. Then Orchid knee-kicked her in the stomach and jumped up.
(Groan)
"Come on bitch is that all you got?" Shana-ray yelled at me in an exasperated voice.
"No!" Orchid replied in a hoarse and tiring voice, as she began to charge at Shana-ray.
"Then bring it on, beeyatch," Shana-ray replied with a grunt.
Shana-ray began kicking Orchid in the side, until she fell down. Orchid was down for the count and when she finally regained her stamina she gave Shan-ray a mind-throttling punch to the face, which sent her flying to the ground. A feeling of will overpowered all her fear and she was ready to kick some butt.

Chapter 6
The girls all gathered around him, got him up and escorted him out of the room. About a half an hour later Orchid could hear the faint sounds of the sirens coming towards me, they were here, but the girls have already escaped and she was slipping into a wary display. The next thing Orchid knew she found herself lying in a stretcher, getting ready to be transported by an ambulance to the nearest hospital.
"I'm fine," Orchid yelled as she grabbed the hand of the person next to her.
"What?" an unfamiliar voice replied, as they shrugged her hand off.
"I said that I am fine" she repeated in a slower, more audible voice, "I just have to go."
"No! You can't leave," the voice said firmly.
But she had to leave. Then another voice called out to the one she was speaking to, so, while the voice was distracted Orchid removed herself from the stretcher and hobbled away.
While hiding in the bushes, flashbacks of her previous encounter with those fiends replayed in her mind.
(Why were they doing this? What could Andrew have to do with all this?) Orchid thought to herself.
She had to figure out their vicious plot and save him from their evil clutches, but she needed to call in to the agency for some reinforcements.
"Charday, this is special agent Orchid calling. Assemble the girls. We are going on a mission." she said as she spoke over the cell phone with Charday, her wingman on this investigation.
The girls arrived within moments of her call.
"Girls! The mission that we are about to engage in is going to be a very difficult one. We are going to have to face a bunch of mendacious witches, so try your hardest not to fall for their tricks. Everyone got it?" Orchid said to the girls.
"Yes ma'am" they all replied in a unison.
And with that they were off to fight for the freedom of her love, Andrew. While in the van, anticipation was building up in us like construction blocks.
"Yolanda, I need there whereabouts and stats A.S.A.P." Orchid yelled over the sound of the motor.
"Here they are. They are in an old, abandon warehouse south of Greensborough Drive," she replied.
"I know where they are. They are at Truebella Warehouse," Orchid replied after some thought. "Cindy, take a right at the stoplight."
We swerved and swirled as the time to arrive was running out. Then
Orchid heard Charday say, "We are here!"
"Okay ladies, here is the plan; Charday, you, me and Justine are going to enter the warehouse through the front; Yolanda, you, Nolian, Kerri and Sasha are going to enter through the side entrance and Cindy, you and Monni are going to cut off their power supply. Everyone have their night vision goggles? Cause it's going to get dark in there." Orchid questioned as she delegated responsibilities.
(brief pause for reply).
"Yes ma'am," they answered in an unison.
"Okay, then let's go!" Orchid said as she charged towards the old, abandoned and dusty building.
And with that statement the plan was in full execution. No corner was left unmarked and no furniture left unturned. They had to find out what happened to Andrew as soon as possible.
Confessions of a Broken Heart
It wasn't too long ago that you whispered in my ear
Promises of sweet nothings my heart holds dear
You told me you loved me
You told me you cared
You promised not to hurt me
Like the other did before
But I guess a promise is just a comfort to fool
Because as the days grow longer and the nights grow sleepless
My longing for you grows tireless
My yearning for your voice grows aimless
But not a sound
Not a whisper
Not a word I hear from your lips
Not a word beseech my eyes
You don't know how much it truly hurts
Not to have you close
Not to have you here
Not to have you near at all
I loved and I lost
Not only round one but also round two
How many more rounds can my heart take?
How many more rounds will I allow it to endure?
These I cannot answer
But at the end of the day
All I can say is
It's your lost
You'll never have a love like me again
And as for me
Pain can be endured
Heart can be broken
But....
Tomorrow I shall SHINE.

Chapter 5
Now that Shana-ray had gotten what she wanted, everyone out of the way she thought she had it all. But…. Will he even want her? He hadn't even looked at her.
(How could this happen? Why is his happening to me? Why can't I get the one I love?) she pondered to herself.
She had to take action. She just had to get him all to herself. She would have to do something so dangerous, she could be arrested. She would have to KIDNAP him and make him love her. So she formulated a plan to lure him to her 'LOVE DEN'.
The next few days she spent the time preparing for his arrival. And finally the day had come; the day when she would finally have him, the day of the plan. Throughout the day her mind roamed as she thought about her future Andrew Meno. She thought about the kids they would have and their home.
(Oh how it will be a wonderful life once she had made him love her) she thought to herself in longing.
At last the time came and the execution of the plan was flawless. She had managed to kidnap Andrew, without anyone seeing her and without the least bit of suspicion. At least that's what she though…But Orchid was on her case. It was easy to track her every move as she was in her class and she had her "eyes" all around her watching Shana-ray's every movement. Orchid followed her as she carried Andrew to her dungeon of doom.
Orchid watched her as she dragged him into the "LOVE DEN" whispering 'Don't worry honey this is for your own good. You will be mine in due time.'
Orchid walked closer and closer towards them, as quietly as possible. She went towards the window and peered into the room in search for more knowledge. Orchid watched as Shana-ray tied him up and decided she could not watch this anymore; so she rushed into the room, breaking down the door. Shana-ray turned around in surprise, looking as pale as a ghost, then…
She smiled and said "I have been expecting you. It's about time you got here. We were beginning to think you weren't going to make it after all. We were beginning to think that you were too afraid to face us."
"Us?" Orchid queried in dismay, "Who is us?"
And then she snapped her fingers, on came the light and out of the shadows came… Nareka along with some other guests… Tara, Jessica, Anna and Emily.
"Oh My God!!!!!!!!" Orchid said in complete dismay and disbelief, "What are you all doing here?"
"Oh you see we knew that you had a thing for Andrew since the first day you met him. And what better way to eliminate the competition, than to let her fall for a fake plot, hmmm?" Tara said with a smirk.
"And you actually fell for it! You're so dumb!" Jessica added in a snub tone.
"I don't have a crush on Andrew!" Orchid said in her defense.
"Oh stop pretending," Anna said in reply "We have seen the way you look at him."
"Well….Well what…..What are you…. What are you going to do…(gulp) … to me? And what are you going to do to Andrew?"
Orchid asked in fear; then a thought of how she could change the situation, "How are you all going to share him? Are you going to clone him?" she asked with a soft chuckle.
"Oh we are going to kill you." Jessica said in a sinful tone "And as far as Andrew goes, don't worry about him. He'll be just fine without you."
"And besides, you have other things to worry about right now. I mean Andrew will be alive, while you will be dead," Anna added in a shrill tone.
And with that they all headed towards her with a rush. They grabbed her and tied her down to a chair; then they poured some gasoline in a ring around her and lit a match, then flicked it towards her. The fire spread, as the ring around her lit ablaze. Orchid looked over and saw Andrew, he looked so cute, except for the fact that he was tied up by some sadistic psychopaths. Those freaks better not hurt a hair on his head.
As the smoke covered her and the coughing began, Orchid tried as hard as she could to reach the emergency button on her DSI spy watch. But she began to lose consciousness and so she increased her drive to reach the button and with a lot of willpower and a little push she finally had reached it. Any minute now Orchid would be saved by her people at the DSI agency…. But would they arrive here before those freaks leave with Andrew?
